Naturalis Historia is a wine made with grapes from a 40-year-old vineyard on our Mirabella Eclano estate. Greatly structured and long-lived, it represents Irpinia, an ancient and gloomy territory that Virgil described as, "Land jealous of its many mysteries."
Tasting notes: Intense ruby red. Complex, broad, intense and persistent bouquet, offering aromas reminiscent of violet, currant, wild blackberry, strawberry, black cherry, chocolate and vanilla. Warm, enveloping, great structure and smoothness with aromas of plum, bitter cherry, raspberry, strawberry jam and spice.
Pairings: Charcuterie and aged cheeses, pasta with meat sauces, mushrooms and truffles, barbecued red meats and game, and long-cooked meats.
