Accornero

The history of the Cantina Presero begins at the end of the 19th century, in 1897 to be precise, with the purchase of the Cascina Ca 'Cima by the noble knight Negri. However, the success of the company is to be recognized in Bartolomeo Accornero and his wife Giuseppina Lasagna, originally owners of a small farm that bordered the current possessions. Vitivinicolatori for four generations, the Family Accornero saw her son Giuseppe joined Bartolomeo, while with the next generation Giovanni Battista Angelo Accornero married Alfonsina Coppo: from this union Giulio was born, the current owner of the company. A cellar, that of the hunted, capable of taking a real quality path, with particular attention paid to the autochthonous Piedmontese vines: Grignolino, Freisa and Barbera. The winery is located in the municipality of Vignale Monferrato, in the province of Alessandria, and can currently count on a vineyard surface that extends overall for twenty hectares. The management of the vineyards is rigorously biological, without the use of chemical fertilizers and herbicides, while the use of natural fertilizers and non-harmful products to the environment allow the ground a natural phyto-sanitary defense, guaranteeing great quality to the final product. In the cellar, always pursuing the highest quality standards, the approach is modern, but at the same time attentive to the most rooted territorial traditions. Enological conduction is entrusted to the expert Mario Ronco while agronomic conduction is up to Ermanno Accornero, son of Giulio. The current production stands on an annual average of 100 thousand bottles, with a line of labels that ranges from the famous Grignolino del Monferrato "old Bricco del Bosco vineyards", rightly acclaimed by international criticism, to the sweet Malvasia di Casorso, excellent in combination with Fruit and dried biscuits, for real moments of joy and light -heartedness. The excellent vinification of Barbera in purity is also prominent, which we find in the "Cima" label: a large almost impenetrable ruby red, which houses an extraordinary aromatic baggage. Vini hired: for those looking for the essence of Piedmont in the bottle.
