Cantine Fina

Cantine Fina is a family -run Sicilian winery, led by Bruno Fina and its children. The wines of the Fina cellars have "character", because they are born in a difficult land and are the result of a great passion for viticulture. Fina produces wines that tell the territory and the traditional values of Sicily. At the historical level, in Sicily the cultivation of the vine began at the time of the Greeks and the Phoenicians, who above all influenced the viticulture of western Sicily. The Fina cellars are located in Marsala, in a unique territory, where different biodiversity, microclimates and terroirs coexist. For the cellars Fina produce wine means guaranteeing the integrity of the fruit and respect for the soil. The company's vineyards are located along the hill near the cellar and are grown following the protocols of organic agriculture. Among the mainly cultivated vines we find the natives: Grillo, Zibibbo, Nero D’Avola and Perricone and the international Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Traminer and Viognier. As for international red berry vines, we find Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Syrah. The productive focus of Cantine Fina are the wines obtained from native grapes, Bruno Fina and the children of him love to follow the Sicilian wine tradition and culture. White wine Cantine Fina Cantine Fina produces a remarkable selection of white wines. Among the most famous we find the Kebrilla, a white obtained from the autochthonous grape cricket, one of the oldest in Sicily. It is a fresh, floral and elegant wine with a citrus and mature taste. Part of the grapes used to produce this wine comes from the vineyards near the coast, located in front of the island of Mozia. It is a savory wine, excellent to taste as an aperitif and combination with fish dishes, cheeses and salami. In addition to the Kebrilla, we cannot fail to mention the Taif, produced with Moscato d'Alessandria grapes, known in Sicily with the name of Zibibbo. It seems that this grape variety is originally from Egypt and that its name has turned into Zibibbo, by the Arabic Zabib "raisin", in Sicily. Usually Zibibbo is a grape variety used to produce sweet wines but the taif is a dry white wine, perfect to combine with fish appetizers and crustaceans, white meats and cheeses, for its extraordinary fishing and mandarin notes. If you love Sicilian wines but you prefer those produced with international grapes we suggest the Fly Fly and the Mamarì. The first, the fly flies, is a white wine obtained from Viognier grapes, a French grapely cultivated in Italy and capable of giving rise to extremely elegant wines. It is a wine with exotic and citrus notes, intense and savory, excellent to combine with fish dishes such as herring, mackerel, salmon, eel or capitone, as well as sushi and sashimi. The second, the Mamarì, is a white wine obtained from Sauvignon Blanc grapes, a French grape variety that arrived in Sicily around the nineties. It is a wine with herbaceous and vegetable notes, it is very fruity, with exotic hints such as pineapple and floral such as the ginestra. Excellent to combine with hot or cold appetizers also combines well with fish dishes, both raw and steam cooked.
