Petit Verdot

The Petit Verdot grape is native to the Médoc area in France, where it is used in variable percentages for the production of Bordeaux, and is also widespread in California and in some Greek and Italian regions. In Italy, the Petit Verdot is able to express itself in a truly excellent way in Tuscany, in the Maremma of Livorno, in the Maremma of Grosseto and in the Agro Pontino in Lazio. The wine obtained from the petit verdot grape is of an intense ruby red color. On the palate it is dry, spicy, tannic. It is used, in most cases, in blends.
