Barbaresco

Barbaresco is a DOCG wine. The area of origin of the grapes suitable for producing wines with a controlled and guaranteed denomination of origin "Barbaresco" including the territories already delimited by ministerial decree 31 August 1933, published in the Official Gazette no. 238, of 12 October 1933, as well as those for which the conditions referred to in the second paragraph of art. 1 of the decree of the President of the Republic 12 July 1963, n. 930, includes the entire territory of the municipalities of Barbaresco, Neive, Treiso (formerly a hamlet of Barbaresco) and the part of the hamlet «San Rocco» formerly part of the municipality of Barbaresco and aggregated to the municipality of Alba, falling within the province of Cuneo.
