The Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG "Gran Selezione" by Antinori comes, exclusively, from a selection of the best estate grapes and is a red that represents one of the excellence of the production. Matured in wood, it is a wine of peculiar intensity, complex and beautifully balanced.
Tasting NotesRuby color with garnet highlights. The nose is expressed with hints of plums and blackberries, notes of violets and tones of licorice. The palate is warm, enveloping, sumptuously soft with velvety tannins. Long lingering.
PairingsIdeal paired with meaty entrées and red meats, try it with stuffed roast in a crust.

Vinification After destemming and a soft crushing, the grapes were conveyed into stainless steel tanks, where they completed the alcoholic fermentation.Once the alcoholic fermentation, the wines conducted, spontaneously, within the end of the year, the malolactic fermentation (MLF) in new 300 l and 225 l Hungarian barriques and, for a small part, in new French barriques of
Aging After MLF was completed, the wines were selected, blended and reintroduced into the same barriques for about 14 months. At the end of the aging period, a tasting of each individual barrique and, having performed any necessary sorting, the wine was bottled. The wine continued its aging in the bottle for a further year
