Now fully identified with Friuli Venezia Giulia, pinot grigio is a grape variety that is part of the large pinot family, and is distinguished by the characteristic color of its skin, reminiscent of copper. The result is wines that are full, fresh, satisfying and never predictable. It is in this track that Sirch's interpretation, which involves vinification and subsequent maturation in steel only, fits. The result is a pleasant and balanced Pinot Grigio, completely anchored in the varietal and characteristic of what are the peculiarities of the lands of Friuli. To be drunk with seafood cuisine preparations, it is a Pinot Grigio not to be missed.
Tasting Notes.: Intense straw yellow is the color at the glass. The nose is led by a pleasant vein of tropical fruit, accompanied by a definite note of ripe white-fleshed fruit, such as pear and peach. The sip is fresh, savory and mineral, with excellent balance and persistence.
Pairings: Excellent as an aperitif, Sirch's Pinot Grigio pairs well with appetizers and seafood entrees. Try it with pepata di cozze.
