Duca di Salaparuta has built much of its history on Nero d'Avola; in fact, "Duca Enrico," an authentic icon of Sicilian viticulture, was followed by "Passo delle Mule," first harvested in 2002 and now a landmark of quality catering. Duca di Salaparuta, which has always interpreted this grape variety in an elegant way, making it, at the same time, enjoyable and contemporary, proposes, in this case, the Sicilia Nero d'Avola DOC "Calanìca," a label designed for everyone and accessible to any type of consumer, which gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy the peculiarities of this splendid variety. It is a product absolutely to try, fresh and fruity, ready to drink, but with an olfactory and palatal intensity typical of the grape variety.

Tasting Notes: Ruby red, with violet hues. The nose is pleasantly intense; hints of morello cherry and raspberry stand out in particular. The palate is broad and velvety; medium-bodied and pleasantly aromatic persistence.

Pairings: Excellent with white meats, it also goes well with medium-aged cheeses and should be tried with mushroom omelet.
