CastelGiocondo is a unique place in Montalcino, where the great variety of exposures and soils - marl, clays and Pliocene sands - give this Brunello infinite nuances. A multifacetedness of notes that evolve over time and make me continually want to discover, savor and remember. Intense and brilliant ruby red. On the nose, fruity notes predominate, ranging from raspberry to currant, with vague hints of blueberry; tingling and surprising is the elegant floral note that emerges after a few moments: unmistakable hints of violet. Letting it open releases the spicy and tertiary notes due to long aging. Cinnamon, pepper, leather chase each other and on the finish, reminding us of its extreme elegance, a balsamic tip. In the mouth it totally envelops and impresses with its harmony, dense tannic texture and mineral sensation. Long and persistent the finish.
