Tenuta Olim Bauda

Tenuta Olim Bauda is a Piedmontese reality managed, since 1998, by Dino, Diana and Gianni Bertolino. The three have, in fact, chosen to live in the land of their family and to devote themselves to the vineyards, respecting the territory and working with passion and great attention to the details. The grapes used in the estate come from the family vineyards; All the phases of the production followed and carried out in person by Dino, helped by a few and valid collaborators. The owned vineyards are found in 5 different municipalities and each of them boasts specific land for the variety planted; The soils are generally made up of claye-sabbiose marls of marine origin, with a good presence of limestone and the percentages of the main components change from vineyard to vineyard, so much so that on the same hill you can have more or less sandy veins or plaster veins. For this reason, the same grape variety, bred in different areas, can give different results and, therefore, the knowledge of the soil is of fundamental importance when the right holders or the best cultivation and winemaking techniques are chosen The production focuses on the most typical Piedmontese wines; As for the reds, in the catalog there are several Barbera d'Asti DOCG, two different Nice Riserva DOCG, a Grignolino d'Asti Doc, a freisa d'Asti Doc, a DOC red Monferrato and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Doc. Among the whites, however, we find a Gavi DOCG, a Piedmont Chardonnay Doc and two different Moscato d'Asti Docg. In addition, for distillate enthusiasts, two different types of Grappa, one from Moscato and the other by Barbera are also available.
