Contadi Castaldi

The Castaldi Cantina Castaldi represents a perfect synthesis of the history of Franciacorta, which with its nineteen municipalities highly suited to exceptional agriculture, already in the 16th century it produced excellent wines. It has been since 1500 - a period of greatest splendor of the Republic of Venice - that the wines of Franciacorta were intended for the tables of principles, kings, nobles and rich merchants of the Serenissima. The splendid Venice was a flourishing market of election for Franciacorta, a real springboard, through which the same Franciacortini wines have started to be known all over the world. With the name that comes to life from the union of two distinct terms - the "counts" were in the Middle Ages the counties of Franciacorta, while the "Castaldi" were the lords of the counties - the cellar was born as a rib of Bellavista, and currently belongs To the same group which includes the parent company: "Terra Moretti". Built by adapting what was once the ancient Fornace of Biasca, the Castaldi Contadi is located in Adro, in the province of Brescia, was founded in 1987, and above all it established itself in a few years thanks to the highly elevated average quality of its sparkling wines It all started with the SatÚn, a typology that has always been at the center of the company project, as well as soft and velvety Franciacorta, to which the other wines have gradually joined, all of great personality, intimate and expressive, fragrant and always characterized by an organoleptic depth uncommon. From SatÚn we move on to Brut, Rosé and Zero dosage, up to the "new generation" labels, which include less traditional but at the same time intriguing and level wines. Currently being able to count on a vital surface owned by 18 hectares, to which are added another 112 hectares for rent, the production of the Cantina Castaldi cellar currently stands on an average of 90 thousand annual bottles: sparkling wine with absolute charm, which punctually impress for complexity , structure, character, freshness, balance and depth.
