The two grape varieties, merlot and nero dAvola, are harvested and vinified separately in order to bring out all the best varietal characteristics. After a period of rest in small-capacity oak barrels, partly new and partly second-passage, the Sicilia Merlot Nero d'Avola DOC Ramione from the Baglio di Pianetto winery is born. It is harmonious and peculiar to the terroir from which it comes. It represents the philosophy of the Baglio di Pianetto winery: tradition, finesse and elegance in full respect of the terroir.

Tasting Notes: Ruby red in color with violet reflections, our Nero d'Avola presents intense hints of currant, wild strawberry and pomegranate. On the palate it is fresh and soft, with a surprising persistence.

Pairings: It is the ideal wine to accompany typical pasta alla Norma and goes well with red meats and game.
