Tasting Notes: In the glass it is typically garnet in color, with reflections tending toward ruby in the rim. The bouquet of scents that envelops the nose moves on deep and rich notes, in which rose and violet alternate with sweet spices and ripe fruit. In the mouth it is full-bodied, fine, with a full, rounded sip, thanks to a finely integrated tannic texture. It closes with a lingering finish.
Pairings: It is a wine that has a gastronomic predisposition towards those meat-based dishes, elaborate with important preparations. Also exquisite with game and aged cheeses, it is to be tried with bollito misto alla piemontese.
Considerations: The history of Barolo has been united with that of Deltetto since 1961, when the winery originated the first label of this great type of Piedmontese red wine. A pioneering intuition that earned the winery special recognition, so much so that Deltetto is one of the very few "historic" wineries allowed to produce Barolo DOCG outside the areas indicated by the regulations, directly in the municipality of Canale. We are dealing with a classic, round and harmonious label that expresses the most traditional characters of the appellation. The grapes, after the harvest, vinify and age in oak barrels for at least 24 months, then continue the maturation in glass, for 12 months, after bottling. A red that is yet another small masterpiece signed by Deltetto.
