Tasting Notes: Ruby red color to the eye, intense and lively. The nose opens on notes of morello cherry jam and cherry, then enriched by hints of sweet spices and vanilla. The mouth is elegant, fresh and warm at the same time, with good body and length.
Pairings: Goes well with meat-based main courses. Try it with veal stew.
Considerations: In some of the vineyard plots on the Deltetto estate, marasca trees, a variety of cherry, once grew alongside the vines. Hence the name of Barbera d'Alba "Rocca delle Marasche," declined in the "Superiore" version and left to rest for two years in oak barrels. The fruit, fresh and fragrant typical of the variety, meets the softness and sweetness of the barrique, to give life to a smooth and extremely pleasant sip, then at the same time of great balance and harmony. It is a Barbera with a refined and refined profile: it is a Barbera to reserve for the best occasions.
