A Barbera d'Alba that does not need too much introduction, the result of the great bond established between grapes, terroir and winery know-how. This "Scarrone" Vigna Vecchia carries in its name all the complexity of vines that have been growing in Castiglione Faletto for over 90 years, limited in production but able to bring berries rich in unique aromas and sensations at harvest. Vinification is carried out with a cold pre-fermentative maceration, followed by an alcoholic fermentation that continues in steel for two weeks. The wine matures for a total of 18 months, spent in steel, large barrels and barriques. A bottle that deserves space in every wine lover's cellar.
Tasting notes: It reveals itself to the eye with a ruby red color. The nose is deep and complex, with concentrated aromas that bring back small red and black berry fruits, enriched by references to sweet spices-especially vanilla. In the mouth it has a remarkable body, supported by excellent acidity, which facilitates the smoothness of the drink, ample and swathing. It closes with a lingering finish.
Pairings: Stews and game are great for savoring this Barbera in all its full body. It also pairs well with strong, particularly aged cheeses.
