Bortolomiol
Prosecco is one of the world successes of Italian enology: synonymous with cheerfulness and lightheartedness, it perfectly embodies the excellence of "Made in Italy" that makes our country famous all over the world. Among the many producers who are included in the production area of this wine, it is worth dwelling on a reality that has always made it its reason for living: we are talking about the Bortolomiol company, whose origins date back to the eighteenth century. with Bartolomeo, who devoted his entire life to the cultivation of vines on the hills of Valdobbiadene. Another central man in the history of the company is Giuliano, who, after the Second World War, was involved in restoring the destroyed and abandoned vineyards with the aim of bringing Prosecco from a local product to an internationally recognized sparkling wine. Today the company is in the hands of Giuliano's four daughters, always careful to respect those principles of product quality and enhancement of the territory that have always characterized Bortolomiol's vision. In the approximately 5 hectares of property different vines are cultivated, obviously leaving the main space to the queen grape of these areas, the glera; the daily operations in the vineyard are carried out following the principles of organic and integrated pest management, seeking low environmental impact, while in the cellar the team led by the great Roberto Cipresso always works with the utmost attention. The result of this philosophy leads to elegant, fine bottles, which reach important qualitative peaks with the "Bandarossa", with the Superiore di Cartizze, with the "Grand Cuvée del Fondatore" awarded by Gambero Rosso with the Three Glasses, and with the " Ius Naturae ”, organic Brut Millesimato also at the center of the positive comments of international critics. The company's gaze is turned with optimism and openness to the future, where the development of new commercial markets is aligned with the search for ethics and the desire to carry out important projects at an environmental and humanitarian level.
