Tasting Notes: The wine shows a beautiful straw yellow color with light golden highlights. The aromas on the nose recall fruity and floral hints of rose, accompanied by a slight spicy note. The palate has an excellent structure, lively, flowing and extremely drinkable. It closes with a moderately persistent finish.
Pairings: Excellent throughout a meal, it has a particular fondness for those dishes where the basic ingredient is fish. Also to be tried with appetizers such as green pies, it is perfect with Japanese cuisine.
Considerations: When talking about Gewürztraminer one cannot help but think, almost instantly, of Alto Adige, a terroir where this grape variety finds its place of election. This interpretation proposed by the Erste + Neue winery comes across as absolutely classic, round and harmonious, with a particularly engaging drinkability. The grapes ferment in temperature-controlled steel tanks, where they then remain to age on fine lees until bottling. A Gewürztraminer DOC that, thanks to its versatility, is able to accompany with style various dishes of Italian and Japanese culinary tradition.
