The Santi winery is a historic Veronese company founded in 1843 and, for some years now, a member of the Gruppo Italiano Vini, oriented toward a path of quality that concerns the entire production chain, from the vineyard to winemaking techniques. It is the traditional "in pink" version of Bardolino, a name of Germanic root (probably from the patronymic "bardilio") that, according to one legend, derives from Bardali, daughter of King Auletus and granddaughter of Manto, founder of Mantua, remembered by Virgil and Dante. Production of this wine began in 1993.
