SurSur 2022 Doc Sicilia Grillo - Donnafugata

The Grillo "Sursur" is a hymn to freshness that the Donnafugata winery, a great Sicilian production reality located in Marsala, dedicates to all those who desire a straightforward and drinkable wine. It is in fact a truly versatile label, which, thanks to a linear structure, is perfect to drink every day, to indulge in a sip that is anything but banal. Grillo "Sursur" white wine is made from the grapes of one of the most famous white grape varieties in all of Sicily, Grillo. This is a widely cultivated variety, which originates from Donnafugata's vineyards grown around the Contessa Entellina Estate and on estates located in southwestern Sicily. The bunches of grapes, carefully selected during the harvest, once they reach the winemaking facilities, alcoholically ferment in steel containers at a controlled temperature comprised between 14 and 16 degrees. This is followed by the aging phase, carried out for two months in steel and then, after bottling, for 3 months directly in glass. Grillo "Sursur" is a Sicilian wine that captivates from the color, light and soft, reminiscent of straw yellow. Dynamic and enveloping the nose, structured on notes of white-fleshed fruit that alternate with more herbaceous and floral sensations. On the palate, it is light-bodied and snappy, with a sip marked by a pleasant freshness that encourages drinking. A bottle with which the Donnafugata winery celebrates lightheartedness and informality, resulting in a white that is perfect for all seasons, very versatile from a gastronomic point of view, and will please the palate of all your guests.
