The two grape varieties, Syrah and nero dAvola, are harvested and vinified separately in order to bring out all the best varietal characteristics. After a period of rest in small-capacity oak barrels, partly new and partly second-passage, the Terre Siciliane IGT Shymer from the Baglio di Pianetto winery is born. It is harmonious and peculiar to the terroir from which it comes. It represents the philosophy of the Baglio di Pianetto winery: tradition, finesse and elegance in full respect of the terroir.
Tasting Notes: Brilliant ruby red. Complex nose meets aromas reminiscent of wild berries, blueberry and wild cherry, followed by light nuances of vanilla and licorice. Clean and fresh on the palate, smooth and balanced, with an excellent persistence.
Pairings: It is excellent to accompany main courses of meat dishes from the earthy cuisine. Try it with chicken cacciatore.
