The best sauvignon grapes harvested in the production area of Cornaiano, in Alto Adige, give rise to "Flora" from the Girlan winery. A Sauvignon Blanc that comes to life from a short fermentation with maceration on the skins, then is left to rest on the lees partly in steel and partly in large oak barrels for eight months.
We find on the sip truly a great Sauvignon, excellent with fish, asparagus and white meat dishes, thanks to a freshness and minerality that are well suited to aromatic preparations. It is a Sauvignon of 10 and praise.
Tasting Notes.: Intense straw yellow is the color to the eye. Intense also on the nose, where it hints at white-fleshed fruit, followed by hints of nettle and elderflower. The palate is fresh and snappy, mineral and well supported by the acid shoulder, aromatic and with just the right persistence.
Pairing: Excellent with seafood cuisine, it is perfect for pairing with seafood risotto.
