Tasting Notes: Visual examination shows a ruby red color, crossed by slight reflections tending to violet in the rim. On the nose there are intense and ample sensations, where small black berries alternate with tertiary nuances, deriving from the period spent in aging. On the palate it is full-bodied, soft and harmonious, with a savory sip.
Pairings: Excellent throughout a meal, it is, however, particularly good with main courses of meat and game. Try it with chicken stew all'arrabbiata.
Considerations: Syrah is undoubtedly one of the most interesting wines for the Sallier de La Tour estate; it is in fact a grape variety that, in the area surrounding Camporeale, manages to express itself with great potential. Proof of this is given by this Sicilia DOC, a balanced red, immediately understandable and graceful, both on the nose and in the mouth. The grapes, once harvested, ferment in steel tanks for 20 days at a controlled temperature of 28 degrees, also carrying out malolactic fermentation. Aging takes place for 30% of the mass in French oak barrels, while the remainder matures in steel; aging lasts one year, at the end of which bottling operations are carried out. A label with which Tasca d'Almerita confirms that it knows how to decline, as only a few other realities are able to do, the beauty and diversity of enological Sicily.
