
Ramione 2018 Doc Sicilia Merlot Nero d'Avola Bio - Baglio di Pianetto
The two grape varieties, merlot and nero d'Avola, are harvested and vinified separately in order to bring out all the best varietal characteristics. After a period of rest in small-capacity oak barrels, partly new and partly second-passage, comes the Sicilia Merlot Nero d'Avola DOC Ramione from the winery Baglio di Pianetto.
It is harmonious and peculiar to the terroir from which it comes. It represents the philosophy of the winery Baglio di Pianetto: tradition, finesse and elegance in full respect of the terroir.
Tasting notes: of color rruby bone brilliant. The nose encounters scents reminiscent of small berries, blueberry and wild cherry, followed by light nuances of vanilla and licorice. Clean and fresh on the palate, smooth and balanced, with excellent persistence.
Pairings: Excellent with main courses of meat dishes from the land-based cuisine. Try it with chicken cacciatore.
