Tasting Notes: Deep carmine red. The nose is expressed with notes of small red fruits, hints of cinnamon and licorice and a hint of chocolate. The palate is round, with a velvety tannic texture and a finish pleasantly marked by tobacco.
Pairings: Excellent with red meats and aged cheeses, it also goes well with game.
Considerations: Kaltern's Alto Adige Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva DOC "Quintessenz" ages for 18 months in barrique and is bottled following a light filtration. A wine with a color throbbing with life, it is seductive and boasts a marked character, as well as a very pleasant spicy expressiveness that suggests, also, that it will evolve beautifully. Absolutely must try.
