Negroamaro is one of the most representative red wines of Apulia's winemaking potential. The interpretation given by the Masseria Altemura of this grape variety expresses the warmth of the land from which it originates, Salento, blending inviting aromas and sensations. The grapes, carefully selected during the harvest, macerate for about 8 days. Once vinification is complete, the wine matures for a year in small oak barrels, which is followed, after bottling, by a further period of maturation in glass. An IGT that is striking for the finesse of its tannins, which contribute to a generous and satisfying drink.
Tasting Notes.: It reveals itself to the eye with a ruby red color, very intense and deep. The bouquet of aromas that envelops the nose highlights notes of cherries and blackberries, also jammy, enriched by nuances of sweet spices. In the mouth it is full-bodied, ample and swaddling, with a savory sip that flows smoothly, thanks to the tannic texture finely integrated into the overall structure.
Pairings: Perfect for grilled red meats, it should be tried with a selection of long aged cheeses, including blue and piquant.
