The Gavi DOCG "Monterotondo" is produced by grapes “cortese" in purity, vineyards cultivated in the Monterotondo area for over forty years. The terroir, characterized by layers of marl and clay, gives the wine freshness, minerality, sapidity, acidity, backbone, longevity and elegance. The Gavi DOCG "Monterotondo" by Villa Sparina represents the cru of the winery and does not fail to leave constantly amazed by its intense and solid qualities.
Tasting Notes: The Gavi Monterotondo by Villa Sparina shows a golden color with a nice sheen and good texture. The nose opens with hints of pear and citrus, then notes of spice of particular elegance take over. The palate has excellent freshness and good drinkability, characterized by a nice savoriness and good smoothness. It is a balanced and persistent wine.
Pairings: It is perfect for a hearty aperitif and goes well with fresh cheeses and white meats, as well as cured meats. We recommend trying it with grilled shrimp.
