Tasting Notes: Intense ruby red, the nose expresses typical cabernet aromas with hints of bell bell pepper and tomato leaf blending with those of nero d'Avola thanks to notes of red fruits such as blackberry and red mulberry. Traces of vanilla and more generally of toastiness, due to barrique maturation, open to a taste of great character and complexity. Slightly savory, powerful and structured, it closes with a finish of great persistence.
Pairings: Throughout a meal, it pairs well with rich first courses, including stuffed pasta, and main courses of white and red meat.
Considerations: Dedicated to Richard Wagner, who in 1881 in the garden of Villa Tasca in Palermo completed the writing of the third act of "Parsifal" inspired by the swans that lived in the pond. A blend of nero d'Avola and cabernet sauvignon from the historic Rosso del Conte vineyards, a deep and elegant red that combines the potential of the Sicilian varietal and the austere characters of the more famous international variety.
