Father of Piedmont Syrahs. A Syrah endowed with both power and elegance. Fineness given by the altitude (500 m, on the hills of Farigliano) and the marly-calcareous soil, rich in minerality, which gives this wine gifts of maximum longevity. It has been able to carve out a prestigious role for itself among the best Italian wines. The mirror-like resemblance to the Côtes du Rhône in terms of latitude, distance from the Alps, and benefit of the river at the foot of the hill for temperature range, make the Harys a fine and elegant wine just like the great Hermitage, Cornas, Côte-Rôtie, and Saint Joseph. Far removed from the texture and meatiness of Syrahs originating in warmer climates. Always, the same label has been offered in a different color each year.
