Produced by the well-known Sicilian company Duca di Salaparuta, Etna Rosso Lavico is made exclusively from nerello mascalese grapes from the Vajasindi Estate, located on the slopes of the volcano. After the grapes are picked by hand, the wine is aged partly in cement and partly in oak barrels for about a year. Intense and elegant, it is the calling card of a unique wine territory.
Tasting notes: Ruby red, with slight garnet highlights. Scents of small red fruits, vanilla and spicy touches, balsamic notes are evident; on the palate it is structured, balanced, with tannin present but not aggressive.
Pairings: It pairs perfectly with a mixed meat grill, or with medium-long aged cheeses. Served chilled, it can also be paired with a fish soup.
