The Monferrato DOC appellation is one of the most important in Piedmont. Accornero Giulio's Girotondo is made from pure nebbiolo grapes grown in the commune of Vignale Monferrato, in the province of Alessandria. After manual harvesting, the grapes vinify in steel, before aging in tonneaux for 12 months, enriching themselves with precious and elegant tertiary aromas, such as spices, that underline their complexity and qualitative depth.
Tasting Notes.: Dark ruby color, on the nose the bouquet expresses sylvan notes, cinchona, rhubarb, rosehips, berries, sweet spices, on a slightly ethereal background. In the mouth has great freshness and savoriness, with still astringent tannins. Long, almondy finish.
Pairings: Goes well with roasts, semi-hard cheeses and traditional Piedmontese dishes.
