"Am Sand" is a work of art among Gewurztraminers or aromatic traminers.
Alois Lageder It draws grapes from several vineyards in the Bassa Atesina, in Tramin, Magrè and near Lake Kaltern, which share a sandy soil with high amounts of limestone...
The grapes are harvested in such a way as to optimize their ripening time with a view to achieving maximum aromatic depth and freshness, sometimes even harvesting grapes with noble rot.
It is aged partly in steel and partly in wooden barrels for 9 months.
A wine that lends itself both to drinking in the early years, favoring its aromatic exuberance, or after aging for those seeking further complexity. Still a success every time it is drunk.

Tasting Notes.: The color is an intense and brilliant golden yellow with excellent clarity.
Intense aromas on the nose, centered on tropical and Mediterranean fruits in which mango, quince and maracuja stand out. Spicy and mineral the finish.
The sip is striking for its full body with great balance and freshness. Fruity and spicy aromas with lively presence. Excellent aromatic persistence.
