The quintessence of Perrier-Jouët terroir finds its purest incarnation in this 2002 Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs Belle Epoque. It is left to rest for at least eight years, acquiring an extraordinarily elegant texture, and becoming delightful in finesse and graceful character. It is endowed with strength and richness, and a fruity character that evolves into a long, creamy and decidedly seductive finish, offering a priceless taste experience.
Tasting Notes.: Bright straw yellow, with persistent and very fine perlage. Fragrant, rich and complex on the nose, with floral hints of hawthorn that are followed by citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit, and mineral and honeyed nuances. In the mouth it is firm, round and balanced, harmonious and lively, with a long and intriguing finish.
Pairings: Goes well with fish or shellfish. Try it with a scallop carpaccio, or marry it to potato gnocchi in cream of shrimp and Sechuan pepper.
