Sardinia's symbolic grape variety, cannonau, is interpreted by Sella & Mosca with a label that is among the flagships of the entire range made. Intense and warm, it brings back the island's sunshine, which illuminates and shines that Mediterranean scrubland that is found with full scents on the nose. The grapes, after harvest, vinify in steel, then age for a total of 8 months in large barrels, steel and cement tanks. A Cannonau di Sardegna DOC of sure reliability, which is a pleasure to find again on the table.
Tasting Notes.: Ruby red of medium intensity to the eye, with good luminosity. The nose expresses intensity and warmth, combining pleasant floral and ripe fruit notes with hints of Mediterranean scrub. Enters the mouth with a full, generous and forthright sip, endowed with good harmony, fresh and deep. It closes with a persistent finish.
Pairings: Excellent with earthy menus; try it with gnocchetti with sausage ragout.
