Tasting Notes: Deep ruby red to the eye. Complex nose, revealing at first sensations of marasca cherry and blackberry jam, followed by notes of macerated violets, licorice and spices. Taste elegant and velvety, without harshness on the palate where it is full-bodied and pleasantly toasty on the finish.
Pairings: An important red to pair with grilled beef steak, game and aged cheeses.
Considerations: "Cà del Pazzo" was first produced in 1982 and can be considered one of the first "supertuscans" born in the Brunello di Montalcino area. It is made from sangiovese and cabernet sauvignon grapes harvested and vinified separately. Once blended, the wine is placed to mature in wood to achieve the ideal olfactory breadth and perfect sensory balance. A powerful but still elegant red, suitable for long evolution in the bottle.
