The Red Àpulo of the Masseria Altemura is a wine made mainly from Primitivo grapes that tells in its name, label but especially in its organoleptic characteristics the extraordinary Apulian terroir of Salento. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel containers for about 7 days. This is followed by maceration of the same duration in order to extract the greatest amount of color, aroma and polyphenolic substances contained in the skins. The wine ages for about 3 months in stainless steel and for a further period in the bottle.
Tasting Notes.: Intense ruby red color with purple nail, the nose is an explosion of jammy plum and black cherry, joined by delicate notes of vanilla and cinnamon. Enveloping and round on the palate, it proves to be a wine of beautiful freshness and long persistence.
Pairings: Suitable for pairing with savory first courses, it goes well with roasted meats, grilled meats and lightly aged cheeses. Average Rating 0.00 / 5
