L'Aleatico, ancient variety and passito wine of the Tuscan tradition, finds in this territory a unique expression capable of standing out for its distinct personality and softness. The grapes, partly vinified immediately and partly only after a period of drying, express a pleasant freshness and structure while preserving the richness of aromas typical of the variety. Fattoria Aldobrandesca is located in the southern Maremma, in the center of what is known as "the Etruscan Tufi zone."
The most widespread image of the Maremma is the "maritime" one, made of plains and pine forests, horses and cowboys. The Maremma we are talking about, on the other hand, is the inland one, which has the unquestionable charm of tuff, a rock on which in ancient times real strongholds were erected-now true open-air museums-such as Pitigliano, Sorano and Sovana.
Right at the foot of the tufa spur where Sovana stands are the vineyards of the Fattoria Aldobrandesca, surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape. Flat land of volcanic origin, with tufaceous substrates.
Tasting Notes: by ruby red color, the Sovana Superiore Aleatico dei Marchesi Antinori opens on the nose with floral aromas of rose and fruity aromas of ripe plum and strawberry. The palate is sweet and pleasantly velvety, with a finish that traces the typical hints of the variety.
