The company was founded in 2008 by the dream of its accountant accountant Gianfranco Sabbatino, to whom he joined his footballer Andrea Barzagli. Gianfranco claims the attachment to his Sicily and his culture in the hope of being able to add a new piece to a specialized entrepreneurial tissue. The company is placed on the hills north of Messina, at highlight, the hilly village that from the name to the entire name Lighthouse doc, in a healthy territory where the balance of the earth strengthens the natural resistance of the plants and theirs cycle. The name casematte derives from the singular presence of three casematte, small fortini used as a refuge of the sentinelle, dating back to the first and to the Second World War. The vineyards arrive up to 500 meters above sea level, are exposed to the north and watch the sea. The conduction regime is that of organic farming, this to better enhance the organoleptic qualities of wine in a unique terroir. The cellar has recently been expanded and equipped with a new bottaw and a beautiful and panoramic tasting room. This year the novelty is represented by the market entry of the Nanuci label, a wine produced by the native native vine, a very similar grape to the Nerelli cultivated in the Messina from very ancient times.
